Jai Ho Becomes 12th Highest Opening Week Grosser In India

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's latest flick 'Jai Ho', which
released last friday, has done well business at Indian box office in
its opening week. Jai Ho collected Rs. 88.78 crore nett in its first
seven days at domestic box office.

With this, Jai Ho becomes 12th highest opening week grosser film. It
also becomes 4th highest opening week grosser of Salman Khan. Salman
Khan's highest opening week grossers are Ek Tha Tiger (Rs. 154.21
crore), Bodyguard (Rs. 115 crore), Dabangg 2 (Rs. 106.78 crore),
Dabangg (Rs. 81 crore) and Ready (Rs. 68.02 crore).

Jai Ho, which has made the budget of Rs. 75 crore, collected Rs. 17.75
crore on its first day. It collected Rs. 60.68 crore on 1st weekend
and added another Rs. 28.10 crore in its first week. The total 7-days
collection becomes Rs. crore. 88.78 crore nett.

The film, which was expected to beat the records made by Shah Rukh
Khan starrer Chennai Express, Hritik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 and Aamir
Khan starrer all time highest Grosser Dhoom 3, has failed to beat
Salman's Ek Tha Tiger opening week collection record.

Here is day wise breakup of Jai Ho:

1st Day = Rs. 17.75 crore
2nd Day = Rs. 16.68 crore
3rd Day = Rs. 26.25 crore
4th Day = Rs. 9.50 crore
5th Day = Rs. 7.30 crore
6th Day = Rs. 5.80 crore
7th Day = Rs. 5.50 crore

Total 1st Week = Rs. 88.78 crore nett.
